Hi! I’m Teri Lynne and that beautiful blonde is my girl, Casiday. Prayers for Girls is deeply personal to me because it all started with a mom (me) who is passionate about pointing her girl to the Lord and praying His Word over and for her every single day.
While there are countless things I am unsure of as a mom, there’s one thing about which I am absolutely certain:
Prayer isn’t optional!
In fact, I’m so sure prayer is vital that I wrote a book for moms about it. Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most is my heartfelt invitation to moms to join me — not as perfect pray-ers but as humble daughters of the perfect Father, interceding on behalf of the girls we love.
A pastor’s wife, ministry speaker, and Bible teacher, I am a fierce enthusiast for lopsided living and I’m constantly learning the simple truth that my busy life doesn’t mean I can’t be focused on Kingdom business. I carve out slices of time in between loads of laundry and reading the latest YA fiction to share about the things I’m learning, the path I’m traveling, and the way God is continually molding me.
I consider the day a success if these three things are involved: good coffee, excellent books, and lingering conversations.
My husband Scott and I have been married since 1996. Our daughter, Casiday, is the best (and worst) of both of us. We live in north Alabama in a house under the
control protection of our 60-pound basset hound, Buddy.
My prayer for this space is that you will find encouragement and resources as you seek to raise a daughter who shines bright for Jesus.
