Today I get to introduce you to some of the most incredible people — real moms who have graciously agreed to share their stories and successes, their foibles and their failures here on Prayers for Girls. Not one of us has this girl mom thing figured out but one thing we share is a passion for guiding our girls to the One who holds it all together.
Beth and her husband James have three beautiful daughters and I have long admired how they have raised them to love the Lord and walk with Him. I think I shocked Beth when I asked her to write here at P4G but, as I told her, the Lord kept laying her on my heart and mind. I know you will love her sweet heart and passion for girls who chase after God.
As soon as I started praying about who to ask about writing, Fayelle came to mind. She was one of the first to jump into the Prayers for Girls world with me and she has been a faithful encourager ever since. She and her husband Samuel have two beautiful girls. Fayelle is high energy and I know you will be as encouraged and inspired by her as I have been.
Y’all, Megan is amazing! She’s one of the most honest and fun people I know. We met at a writing conference a couple of years ago and she is hilarious! Megan and her husband work for Young Life and have four kids, two boys and two girls. Megan has a heart for moms and I am 100% thrilled she will be writing every month about “Mothers as Daughters.”
Amy and her husband Troy have four kids — three girls and a boy. The youngest three (two girls and the boy) are triplets! WHAT?? I can’t even imagine. I have loved connecting with Amy and getting to see how she loves to encourage mommas to remember what a gift it is to be raising kids who will be world changers.
I can’t even put into words how thankful I am for these women! Between all of us we have 11 girls from ages two through sixteen — and I’d be willing to bet on any given day you can find at least one of us wondering if we’re going to survive. Raising girls who love the Lord isn’t for the faint of heart but these precious mommas are digging in deep and ready to come alongside you as well.
Here’s the thing, not one of us has it all figured out. But we believe the best way we fight for our girls is on our knees. We love them the best way we can as we point them to the love of the Perfect Father. And we’re so glad you are here to join us.
And can we ask one thing of you? Take a second to introduce yourself in the comments and let us know how old your girls are!
